The number of electric vehicles on the road is growing every year which makes you think where will we be charging them all?!
The Treasury has just given EV charging points a funding boost of £400 million to support the growing numbers on the road. The first £70m is expected to be allocated to install 3,000 rapid charge points, which will more than double what’s already operating.
These ‘rapid’ units are often installed at motorway service stations, and provide faster charging times than conventional plug sockets and charge points.
This is such a good step for the future of motoring organisations, the current pollution crisis and supporting the rise of electric vehicles on the road.
